Spring is in the air and it’s great to see a new season of literature festivals getting underway. My first of the year was in Huddersfield. It was called ‘A Novel Experience’, which lived up to its name – an open mic session in the unusual surroundings of Small Seeds – a nightclub with a mature tree at its heart.
Festival Director, Michelle Hodgson (pictured) has done a brill job bringing a diverse programme together of which the host town should be proud.
I did a short reading from The End of the Road which will feature at the Promoting Yorkshire Authors Book Fair at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in the town’s Queen Street on Saturday 1 April from 10.30. A great opportunity to pick up the book at a special “hush, hush” price!
