Well known author, historian, broadcaster and “national treasure” contender, Gyles Brandreth was one of the first recipients of a pre launch publishers edition of the newly released The Value of Luck, Martin Venning’s third geo-political novel. “I was delighted Gyles lent his support – he understands the challenges new authors face in getting their work recognised”, said Venning, but added, “maybe it was because he said he was looking for an early present for a distant relative who was hard to please”.
